About V&A Waterfront
The Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront is Cape Town’s most visited precinct, set against the backdrop of sea and mountain views in a historic working harbour. Spanning 123 hectares, it integrates operational fishing quays, marina basins, heritage architecture, shopping, outdoor dining, and cultural venues.

How long should you allow?
Allow 3 to 6 hours for shopping, dining, and a harbour cruise. Extend to a full day when combining your visit with Robben Island or Two Oceans Aquarium.
Weather and timing
Late morning and afternoon are ideal for outdoor harbour walks and boat trips. Evening brings lively dining atmospheres along the illuminated quayside. Indoor shopping malls and Zeitz MOCAA provide excellent rainy-day options.

The V&A Waterfront is the departure point for Robben Island ferries and home to Two Oceans Aquarium. It connects easily to the Company’s Garden and Sea Point Promenade.
