About Neighbourgoods Market
The Neighbourgoods Market at The Old Biscuit Mill is where Cape Town’s modern market scene began. Established in 2006 by Justin Rhodes and Cameron Munro, it helped transform Woodstock from an industrial precinct into the creative hub it is today.
The building itself has its own history: the Old Biscuit Mill was originally a Pyott’s biscuit factory operating from the early 1900s until 1946, before sitting dormant for decades until its 2005 redevelopment into a creative and retail complex.
What to expect
- Over 100 specialty traders in a vibrant covered courtyard setting
- Global street food: paella, shakshuka, Korean dishes, gourmet burgers, fresh pasta, shisa nyama, Swahili mandazi, and Mexican food
- Artisan producers: sourdough bread, raw-milk cheese, local honey, preserves, heritage grain products
- Vegan, halaal, gluten-free, and lactose-intolerant-friendly stalls clearly labelled
- Designer fashion, organic beauty products, vintage collectibles, and handmade craft (especially on Sundays)
- Bar with DJ decks and occasional live music

Saturday morning from 09:00 for the fullest food selection and liveliest atmosphere. Sunday is quieter and more craft-focused.
