Royale Eatery on Long Street is the undisputed pioneer that ignited Cape Town’s gourmet burger explosion in the early 2000s. With its vintage retro booths, quirky chandeliers, and upstairs balcony overlooking the energy of Long Street, Royale remains a beloved icon of the Mother City.
Their menu is staggering, boasting over 50 gourmet burger combinations made with pure pasture-reared beef, Karoo lamb, fresh linefish, and one of the largest artisan vegan/vegetarian burger selections in the country.
