The City Sightseeing bus stops at forty-seven places. You’ll see most of them through glass, from a fixed seat, with a recorded voice telling you what you’re looking at. There’s nothing wrong with that for a first day orientation.
But the best parts of Cape Town are the stops between the stops. The unpaved layby above Hout Bay where the valley reveals itself. The fishing boat launching ramp at Kalk Bay. These are negotiated, not scheduled.
