Chapman’s Peak begins and ends at Hout Bay Harbour. Most people photograph the pass and drive straight through. What they miss is the working fishing dock at the back of the harbour, the crayfish stalls that open on weekend mornings, and the direct view of Duiker Island from the jetty.
The Mariner’s Wharf has been there since the 1980s and is still worth the breakfast stop. The fresh catch display is honest, the coffee is strong, and the seagulls are persistent.
